Florida - state of fail

Published on January 30, 2008

I lived in Florida for a couple of years in the mid 1990’s. I was lucky to escape with my life.
Last night, Floridians all but handed John McCain - a liberal, pro-war at any cost, economic dolt - the GOP nomination. Here’s some Florida goodness for your enjoyment:
Elian Gonzalez lived in Florida before getting deported back to Cuba

More drunken ramblings from Mike Arrington - TechCrunch endorses John McCain for President

Published on January 29, 2008

We already know that Mike Arrington has lost his mind. However, his justifications for endorsing John McCain for president are so incoherent its laughable. Mike, I think its time to hang it up!
On McCain’s “qualifications” Arrington states:
“Senator McCain also has more pure leadership experience than any other candidate running for office. He is the elder […]

Watch for the announcement of a book burning party at your local Apple Store
One can only read into this statement as a directive from the supreme leader of the Ministry of Fruit. Its a good thing the New York Times is there to set the record strait:

Rome…at the end of the empire

Highly trained Roman Legions moving rapidly […]

Today’s rate cut will only assist in our further economic demise

Published on January 22, 2008

The rate cut will be great in the short term. I expect a refi boom lasting into the summer that might help the subprime situation. Long term, this will only contribute to our economic demise - inflation and a weaker dollar are going to kill us.

Westminster business plan competition (and other related thoughts)

Published on

I was recently tapped to judge the Westminster College business plan competition. Last Friday, a group of judges descended on Westminster to hear the presentations of the top ten semi-finalists. The top three teams will have their plans refined and sent to the UEC state business plan competition.
It took six hours to get through all the […]

Here’s another great conversation with Glenn Beck and Comptroller General of the United States, David Walker:

I’m starting to like Glenn Beck again because he seems to be seeing the light. Wake up America.

The way it was…the way it is…

I was born in 1973. I grew up in a small town in Oregon. I had a bb gun and a motorcycle. I rode around in the back of my dad’s pick up and waved at passing cops - they waived back. I would leave home after breakfast and return at dinner. My mom never worried […]
