True is true

Published on May 30, 2007

I’ve been pondering over some truisms the last couple of days and I need to write them down. I might as well share them with you here.
When I was a kid I framed houses. I worked for a guy who thought he was some kind of a philosopher. He used to always say:
“True is True.”
Its [...]

Published on May 24, 2007

Here are some takeaways from today’s Seth Godin event at the Salt Palace:

Quiters can be winners
The mona lisa is only famous because it was stolen - its not the best painting in the world
The world decides what is the best but the reality is that it may not be the best - calls this “super [...]

Taking the summer off

Published on May 19, 2007

I had such a great day outside with family and neighbors. We had a big barbecue and played a game that was some kind of softball/kickball hybrid. It was a lot of fun.
So I think I’m going to reserve blogging this summer only to posts about work related stuff and mountainpalooza. Hopefully that means you won’t see more [...]

“Open-source programs step on 235 Microsoft patents, the company said. Free Linux software violates 42 patents. Graphical user interfaces, the way menus and windows look on the screen, breach 65. E-mail programs step on 15, and other programs touch [...]

More on Mountainpalooza

Published on May 11, 2007

I thought I would write a little more on mountainpalooza to let you know what it is and what it is not.
What it is:

A bunch of dudes (ladies are welcome too) who like to get together on bikes and have a good time.
A lot of down hill exhilaration (we ride the lift up)
A lot of local entrepreneurs [...]

Mountainpalooza is on!  All are welcome.
May 25th at Sundance - we usually get a half day pass (only $14) and ride later in the afternoon. If you don’t have a bike you can rent one but that makes for a spendy afternoon.
Make it known in the comments of this post if you’re coming - I’ll [...]
