My wife got $312.56 in groceries for $4.74 (she does it all the time - want to learn how?)

My wife is a genius. She has unlocked many of the systems and promotions that stores use for discounting and couponing. Its not unusual for her experience an average savings of 80% every time she goes to the store. Just last week she went to Walgreens and got $30 in products (including a Gillette Fusion razor for me for FREE) for about $1.50. That’s nothing - read on…

Over the last year we have not paid for (yes, $0.00) bar soap, razors, tooth brushes, toilet paper, frozen vegetables, canned tomatoes, cereal, Advil, and a bunch of other products. She’s paid less than $1 over the last year for items like shampoo, dish washing detergent, laundry detergent, various household cleaners, toothpaste, and many other everyday items. She’s received over $300 in cash from beer companies to purchase non-beer products (called a beer rebate) and we don’t even drink beer. Crazy!

For a while it was kind of a joke in the family and then everyone started to come to her to find out how she was doing it. She started to take people from our church congregation with her to show them how to get deals and they were shocked at how much money they saved by shopping with my wife. I finally convinced her to start a blog to show other people how to do this. The cool thing is that its not that hard.

Her new blog is www.beasmartershopper.blogspot.com.

As the economy gets worse and the price of food continues to go through the roof, how can you afford not to check it out?

Happy shopping!

  1. My wife is way into that stuff as well. It sounds like they should pow-wow.

I think Utah is a beer marketers worse nightmare.
