Today’s rate cut will only assist in our further economic demise

Posted by Chris Knudsen on January 22nd, 2008

The rate cut will be great in the short term. I expect a refi boom lasting into the summer that might help the subprime situation. Long term, this will only contribute to our economic demise - inflation and a weaker dollar are going to kill us.

Got 10 minutes? Watch this:

  1. Dude, lately your blog is getting very depressing to read. How about some good news once in a while?

Even the local news throws in the occasional “cute dogs and kids” human interest story once in a while.

BTW - This is an observation, not a criticism. I love reading your stuff.

  2. @Marty:

Dang, i thought reporting on the winner of the Westminster business plan competition was good news. I guess not.

I’ll try harder next time :)

  3. It WAS good news!

In fact, I looked at the cap trapper, and thought it was very interesting. Not sure it’s a TV product, but will make a GREAT product in catalog and retail.

Perhaps the timing of my comment was a bit off, but you get the point…You don’t have to single handedly be the bearer of bad news to the world.

    Keep up the good work!

Would you rather hear the bad news now from Chris, or later when your friendly local IRS agent puts a levy on your bank account? I’ll take now.

If you’re really tired of him being the sole bearer of bad news, maybe you could post some on your blog? :)

Complacent America needs more voices of warning, and that includes you and me.
