Friday round up - equations

Posted by Chris Knudsen on October 26th, 2007

The formula for business success:

high margin, high value product + quality lead + closer = success

Here’s another formula for success:

communication + commitment + know-how - ego = success

Rocky Mountains may contain more oil than Saudi Arabia

This could change the world.

Here’s the formula: Rocky mountain oil shale + cheap extraction = a different world

Seven year old suspended for drawing a water pistol

stupidity + stupidity = stupidity (sorry, in this case two negatives don’t equal a positive)

Microsoft is still king. From Valleywag:

“Microsoft, in case you’d forgotten, remains gigantic. It reported revenue of $13.8 billion for its September quarter, up 27 percent over the same period last year, with operating income of $5.9 billion. In other words, it made more money in profits than Google took in as revenues. Give it a couple of quarters, and it could buy the rest of Facebook just with the cash gushing out of its Windows and Office franchises.”

Here’s the formula: everybody else’s quarterly gross revenues = Microsoft’s quarterly profits

Here’s one last formula for success:

try + try + try + try + try again = eventual success
