Playing with an iPhone
I was out to lunch with Jeremy Hanks today. He picked up an iPhone about a month ago and showed me all the cool features. Overall I was impressed with the iPhone. The mail app was way better than I thought it would be and so was Safari. I was really blown away by the quality of the screen and the multi touch is very cool. I didn’t have any trouble with the keyboard. I think the people complaining about that are the people that switched over from a Crackberry or other similar device. I was also surprised at how heavy the device felt in my hand. Â
The one thing that killed me was how slow the Edge network was but when you have wifi access in your office or house you don’t need Edge. I also find the missing copy and paste function a little annoying. Like I said, the iPhone is cool but I’m not sure if its $600 cool. I hate AT&T and don’t know if I could ever go back to their “service”. I may consider it if the iPhone drops substantially in price and you can get a lot more than 8 gigs of storage.
