My old Alma mater and current part time employer, Westminster College, has raised $3.4 million for a new institute for entrepreneurship. The money for the institute comes to the school as a gift from Kyle Foote who runs WKF Associates and has had a very successful career as an entrepreneur.
Thank you, Mr. Foote!
The center is run by Mike Glauser who has also had a long successful career as an entrepreneur. Mike holds a PhD and wrote the book Glorious Accidents: How Everyday Americans Create Thriving Companies, which I highly recommend. I had the privilege of working with Mike when Speaking Roses retained him to formulate and launch the Company’s franchise strategy. Mike was one of the only level headed guys at Speaking Roses. He was amazing to work with. Â
Mike has asked me to be involved with the new institute and to teach a course in the new entrepreneurship program at Westminster. I am very excited to participate in this new venture and to work with Mike again.
If you are looking for a school with a great program for working students - check out Westminster. Getting an MBA from Westminster was one of the best decisions I ever made. If you’re thinking of getting an MBA, need to do it at night and would like to study entrepreneurship - Westminster is the place for you.
This is great news. There is so much innovation going on in Utah, and there is a need for resources and education to feed the fire. May it burn brightly!
Thanks for a great blog.
