“We attack at dawn”

Posted by Chris Knudsen on May 1st, 2007

Are you thinking about quitting? Do you think you have it tough? Consider this communication sent by a U.S. Special Forces unit behind enemy lines in the early part of the 2001 Afghan war:

Three days no sleep…

Three days no food…

Two days no water…

Down to ten rounds each…

We attack at dawn.

Think about that the next time you think you ought to pack it in.

On a similar note - congrats to Phil and the Wordmob gang for getting Seth to Utah. They certainly “attacked at dawn”. I’m looking forward to the event.

  1. Chris,

It’s almost midnight. I’ve been up since 6:30. I got a flat tire on the way to work. I’m deep in the middle of some chemistry homework that I cannot understand for the life of me. Thank you for the boost.

The only thing I will likely be attacking at dawn is a breakfast sandwich from Jack-in-the-Box.

After reading your post, I think I have it in me to read a couple more pages and finish my homework.

    Commencing attack…
