My buddy, Jeremy Hanks at Doba, is running a billboard campaign promoting his company as a great place to work. His line is “Leave before they fire you”. That’s a great line.Â
When most people are fired or RIF’ed (reduction in force) they fret and get depressed but most people move on to greener pastures and actually find more money and happiness. This is not the case 100% of the time but for most people it applies. I know it has in my own life.Â
I write about this because I have an employee who left of his own free will. He submitted his two weeks notice and I took it. He will move on to green pastures and hopefully find a better employment situation that fits him. Best of luck!Â
So what are you waiting for? Stop being sick and tired of being sick and tired. Go do something better for yourself and for your family.
Couldn’t agree more. Who knew you had this much bloggin’ mojo in you, Chris?
Left by blake on 04/12/2006I have always said that if you think that you are going to get fired chances are your manager is thinking about firing you. You could never be happy or productive in an environment where you thought that you were going to get the axe. You owe it to yourself, family and friends to find the RIGHT place of employment.

Great point, Ryan
