Last August I made it my goal to blog everyday. It’s been a lot of fun but frankly I think I need to dramatically cut back on the amount of posting I do for several reasons. First, I’m crazy busy and need to dedicate more time to work. Second, I’m picking up blogging work at Podango. Third, I’m starting to podcast and I already have syndication lined up - that’s going to take a lot of time. Forth, I usually blog at night and I would prefer to be spending that time reading, swimming at the gym, sleeping, hanging out with my wife or watching Battlestar Galactica. Fifth, I’m tired of people whining about what I write. Sixth, Its not healthy to spend so much time on a computer. Seventh…well that’s enough good reasons.  Â
In case you are scratching your head right now, I’ve assembled some answers to your potential questions.
Did you say your not blogging anymore?
NO. I only said I was cutting back for the above reasons. However, if you can do it, I’d encourage you to blog daily.
What will you be blogging about in future posts?
Mainly entrepreneurship for reasons I’ll discuss in future posts.Â
What’s the URL for the Podango Blog?
http://podango.com/blog/. I’ll probably be blogging every day or every other day here.   Â
After Seth’s reply, do you still think bloggers should have comments on their blogs?
Yes, and let me take this opportunity to tell you that I am reinstating approving comments before they post.
Where and when can I find your upcoming podcast?
Here on my blog, at Podango, Rocky Mountain Voices, iTunes and hopefully Podtech.net (I’m working on a couple of other places as well). You should see the first podcast in the next two to three weeks. The first podcasts are going into production next week.
What’s your podcast going to be about?
Same stuff I talk about here but someone else will do most of the talking.
Do you seriously watch Battlestar Galactica?
Yes - I think its the smartest show on TV in years. I love sci-fi and political drama. BSG delivers both better than any TV show I’ve seen. Besides The Office it’s all I ever really watch anymore. Plus, who doesn’t like hot robot girls?
What are you currently reading?
A weird churchy book called Hiding in Plain Sight. I’ve got China, Inc., The Naked Communist and a book on Mitt Romney up next.Â
So check back once or twice a week and you might find something new - maybe a cool podcast or two.
Out.
A weird churchy book called Hiding in Plain Sight.
While I was already aware of the content in this book I decided I’d read it. I only made it half of the way through, though, due to poor formatting and such. It got annoying to tolerate.
I’ve been to several of Ken’s lectures and the guy knows his stuff, but he could use an editor to clean up the book a little.
A similar (and some would argue better) book you might consider reading instead is Awakening to our Awful Situation by BYU professor Jack Monnett.
Left by Connor on 01/04/2007Thanks, Conner. I’ll check it out. I bought Hiding after seeing it on your blog. Its a little dull to read (kind of like a white paper) but the info is interesting,
Left by Chris Knudsen on 01/04/2007I’m with you on the blogging thing. When I first started, I posted 3 times a weeks consisently for about 4 months. But my challenge is my #1 prioirty is my family, #2 is my obligations and responsibilities to Doba and our 100 employees and tens of thousands of customers. Blogging seems to always get bumped for more important things. I think I’m smart enough to make sure the critical things for my family and for Doba get done. I haven’t posted since Dec 8. Just means blogging doesn’t really further my top priorities near as much as a whole bunch of other things.
Left by Jeremy on 01/04/2007Chris,
I will miss your regular voice, but will look forward to reading the posts you do write!

Left by Chris Knudsen on 01/05/2007Chris, you’re so funny and great at writing. I can understand why you wouldn’t want to post so often, it seems pretty time consuming, but keep blogging along, we all enjoy it!!
Left by Erin on 01/05/2007By the way, if the Mitt Romney book is Turnaround you’ll love it.
Left by Erin on 01/05/2007@Erin
Thank you! The Book is Turnaround - I’m looking forward to the read.
Left by Chris Knudsen on 01/05/2007You’ll have to post your thoughts on Hiding in Plain Sight when you are done. I’m curious to know if you thought it was worth the time.
I am currently reading “mere Christianity” by C.S. Lewis. It is a short book, but very dense–lots of comments that make you stop and think. So far, I’ve found it very interesting.
But, I haven’t yet selected my next book to read, and Hiding in Plain Sight sounds like a potentially intriguing choice. So, if you don’t mind, I’d like to request that you do a brief book review when you finish it.
Left by Sean on 01/06/2007I have Mere Christianity but I have never read it, Maybe I need to put that on my list for this years readings.
So far “Hiding” provides interesting information but its hard to read because its not well written. I just started into The Naked Communist. Skousen knows how to write and he understands how to effectively deliver information so it flows well.
Left by Chris Knudsen on 01/06/2007Another good book to read is the one that Pres. Benson recommended during a general conference: None Dare Call It Conspiracy by Gary Allen. It’s an easy read.
Mere Christianity was *awesome*. I agree with Sean though, it takes a little longer to read, just as Neal A. Maxwell’s talks always do. Each sentence merits a little pondering to make sure you understand what’s being succinctly conveyed.
