The 10Speed Post

Posted by Chris Knudsen on November 20th, 2006

I think some people want me to blog about 10Speed Media because they think I am going to sensationalize it or bash Provo Labs. The again, I think a lot of people couldn’t care less.

I’ve decided that it’s probably not appropriate to give the details about what happened at 10Speed on my blog. There’s plenty of criticism that could be leveled but what purpose is served by airing this in public? There isn’t one. Everybody made mistakes - myself included. It’s just part of life. Learn and move on.

All I’m willing leave with you with is this advice:

  • More than anything else - trust your experience and your gut
  • Communicate continually
  • Always be professional even when you don’t feel like it
  • Ignore the critics
  • The basic rules of business always apply

That said - It’s time to close the book on 10Speed Media. I’ve moved on and I take with me the knowledge gained from this experience. Frankly, that’s an incredibly valuable asset to possess.

Done.

  1. Heh, just as well. People outside of Utah County wouldn’t know what 10Speed is (I certainly don’t) anyway and, judging from the traffic, shmula.com trumps 10 speed hands down.
