I get the sense that some people think I’m unapproachable. I’m not, really, I’m not! My wife thinks I can be “anti-social” and tells me that I need to work on my “people skills”. Don’t we all?
I really enjoy meeting new people and I especially love talking to students (in addition to the ones I teach every Monday and Wednesday night), entrepreneurs and small business owners. I am always available for an opinion or to bounce an idea off of FREE OF CHARGE. My fee for advice is $0 - talk truly is cheap. I also think professors who charge student entrepreneurs consulting fees should be hung up by their thumbs, but that’s for another post.Â
The only time I ever charge for anything is when I am retained for a specific project. Frankly, those deals (and the time I have to dedicate to those deals) are rare. So if you’ve ever wanted to drop me a line or ask me a question or would like to meet for lunch please call me anytime. I’d love to hear from you.
The advice you gave me on publicizing my new blog has come in handy. The number of hits I have in a day has already beaten my expectations and it’s growing as more people find out it’s there. Thanks for the free advice!

I’ll throw this theory out there - the perception may come from the fact that on several occasions you’ve called individuals or companies out. Most bloggers are too nice and work hard not to offend anybody. While your ‘face-the-music’ entries make for a good read some may interpret this as the ‘anti-social’ behavior you mentioned.
Personally, I love your posts. Keep asking the hard questions!

Thank you very much for that insight. I found your comments to be very valuable. Much of what you bring up here honestly never occurred to me. If you ask most people who know me they’d tell you I’m laid back and fairly carefree. The perception one may get of me from the way I approach some issues on my blog may give people a false sense of who I really am.
Thank you for helping me. Great lesson learned.
