I put in the Google search “Chris Knudsen” every so often to see how my natural search ranking is doing. chrisknudsen.biz is number one for the term “Chris Knudsen” I guess that’s not too surprising given that there aren’t that many guys in this world with my name. I know of one other Chris Knudsen in Utah. I run across people who know him all the time although we have never met.
The number two result for “Chris Knudsen” on Google is my photo album I posted on the Daily Herald’s Snap Photo service, which is strange to me since the page has no content other than my name and it beats out a lot of other heavy content pages. Anyway, check out some of my photos here. I love photography! As a matter of fact, today I am picking up a Canon XT Rebel. If I had a little more cash I’d pick up the XTi 10 megapixles but 8 will do for now. Its going to rock!
Ugh. Try being named David Rogers. Google has about 394,000 pages and I am on page 10 (while I commented on a blog).
Not that I’ve done anything to improve my rankings…
Left by David on 09/21/2006Ah, the “Vanity Google”. Isn’t it fun?
I’ve been number one for Jordan Gunderson forever, but I’m more proud of being number 2 for “Jordy”. I finally beat out a little French kid sensation who was cute in the 80’s but is now just a teenage punk.
I also place suprisingly well for “Utah Tech” and other seach phrases, but I haven’t really targeted them.
Left by Jordy on 09/21/2006Well, here is a third Chris Knudsen, but resident in Brisbane, Queensland. I’m very impressed with your very exclusive URL. Actually there is another Chris Knudsen here in Brisbane, but a female, and Chris is short for Christine, so she doesn’t really count. I have a son Christian, but he prefers the long version, so he doesn’t count either. However, my Chris is short for Christopher, so maybe I fall short as well.
I’ll keep the odd eye on your site.
All the best,
CK

Nice to meet you! I tried to get chrisknudsen.com but some guy in Seattle owns it and won’t respond to my emails. I own the .net and .org extensions as well.
Best of luck. I love Australia.
Chris
